A single-herb liquid extract of dried fruit of Chaenomeles speciosa, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Chaenomeles japonica is a deciduous shrub or a small tree up to 3 meters high. the bark is scaly, thin, reddish-brown or dark-gray in color. The leaves are green, shiny, obovate, up to 5 cm long, with a blunt-edged margin. Leaves have bean-shaped stalks and stipules. Flowers are regular, corollas are of orange-red color, up to 4 cm in diameter. The petals are obovate. Fruit is a false yellow apple, almost spherical or pear-shaped, up to 4 cm in diameter.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
